You can click on the pause button (two vertical bars) and the image will freeze. If you click on the thumbnails button (four squares) you will see a selection of images from which you have the possibility to choose one in particular to look at as you please.

Otherwise the images will be presented as a continuous slide show until you pause or choose to re-look at certain photos.
